How Interra Helped Commonwealth Waste Transportation Modernize Its Digital Presence for a Growing Operation

SCommonwealth Waste Transportation (CWT), a trusted name in waste transportation and transfer station management throughout New England, had grown significantly since its founding in 1999.

With five transfer stations, a fleet of 40 trucks, and a team of over 60 employees, the company needed a digital presence that reflected its scale, reliability, and industry leadership.

While CWT had built a strong reputation through decades of hands-on experience and operational excellence, their existing website no longer supported that momentum. The outdated platform lacked mobile responsiveness, didn’t clearly showcase their services, and offered limited visibility into their company history, team, and capabilities.

Interra was brought in to reimagine CWT’s website with a modern, clean design that would serve both municipal and commercial clients. The new platform needed to communicate trust, highlight services like transfer station management and Class A CDL driver operations, and make it easier for partners and prospects to connect.

Our goal was to build a digital experience that matched CWT’s legacy of reliability and growth, while giving their team the tools to update and manage content in-house as the company continues to evolve.

Key outcomes of the redesign included improved mobile functionality, clearer service presentation, and increased visibility into CWT’s history, fleet capabilities, and operational footprint across New England.

The clean, responsive WordPress platform gives CWT staff the ability to easily manage updates, share company news, and expand content as the business continues to grow. With streamlined navigation and a more approachable design, the site now serves both municipal partners and private sector clients with ease.

This project demonstrated Interra’s ability to transform a long-standing, operationally complex business into a digitally modern brand. Today, CWT’s website reflects the scale, reliability, and professionalism that have defined the company since 1999.
